I have decided that it is time to have a PT6 Engine Overhaul. It has been working really well, but after a few years, I think that it is a good idea to have it checked over to make sure that it continues to run as well as it always has. I have decided to use a professional company who are experienced in doing a PT6 Overhaul, as I am confident they will do a good job. I know the company well as I used them in the past to change a few pt6 fuel nozzles and so I am sure that they will do a good job. I hope that they will not find anything wrong with it really, as it will save me having to pay out for repairs. However, one part of me thinks that I will feel better about paying for the overhaul, if they find something wring that needs a repair, because then I will not have wasted my money. I am sure I will feel relieved anyway, when the job is finished, knowing that everything is either fine or now fixed. It has been running a little less efficiently lately too so hopefully that will be helped by the overhaul as well.
